Intro to Python & PyCharm

In this first session, we will guide you through setting up PyCharm, the industry-standard coding environment, and writing your very first lines of Python.

You will learn how programs store data, communicate with users, and perform basic computations, capping the session off by building a fully functional interactive receipt calculator. No prior coding experience is required!

Professional Workspace Setup: Downloading and installing PyCharm Community Edition.

Navigating the IDE: Understanding the Editor, Project View, and Console.

First Code: Using the print() function and writing code comments.

Memory & Storage: Creating variables and understanding best practices (snake_case).
